Tunnel furnaces come in many types. They are usually classified by passage count, flame type, transport method, firing temperature, product being fired, and heat source. Each type fits different production needs.

By passage count

Single-passage tunnel furnace: suits a single production line.

Multi-passage tunnel furnace: supports multiple production lines and raises output.

By flame type

Open-flame tunnel furnace: the flame is directly visible. It suits processes that require direct observation of flame condition.

Muffle tunnel furnace: the flame is separated from the heating zone. The design focuses more on heat transfer efficiency.

Semi-muffle tunnel furnace: falls between open-flame and muffle types. It offers some flame control and heat transfer efficiency.

By transport equipment

Car-type tunnel furnace: suits continuous production lines.

Pusher tunnel furnace: uses a pusher plate to move material through heating.

Roller hearth tunnel furnace: uses rollers to convey material. It suits flat or thin materials.

Conveyor tunnel furnace: uses a conveyor belt to move material continuously through heating.

Walking beam tunnel furnace: material moves on a stepping conveyor. It suits processes that need precise control of heating time and temperature.

Air cushion tunnel furnace: uses an air cushion to float material during heating. It suits processes with high surface quality requirements.

For conveyor, pusher, roller hearth, and walking beam tunnel furnaces, Hansheng Automation can machine custom rollers, conveyor components, pusher plates, trays, and heat-resistant fixtures from customer drawings, in single pieces or small batches.

By firing temperature

Low-temperature tunnel furnace: suits low-temperature firing.

Medium-temperature tunnel furnace: suits medium-temperature firing.

High-temperature tunnel furnace: suits high-temperature firing.

Ultra-high-temperature tunnel furnace: suits firing at extremely high temperatures.

By product being fired

Refractory tunnel furnace: for firing refractory materials.

Ceramic tunnel furnace: for firing ceramic products.

Red brick tunnel furnace: for firing red bricks and similar building materials.

By heat source

Flame tunnel furnace: uses combustion as the heat source, such as natural gas or liquefied gas.

Electric tunnel furnace: uses electricity as the heat source, such as resistance wire or electric heating tubes.

These tunnel furnace types each have their own features and applications. Users can choose the right type based on actual production needs.

Our precision component customization is not limited to tunnel furnace parts. We also produce parts for filling machinery, medical devices, yacht components, RC car components, tobacco packaging machinery, printing machinery, and food machinery. Hansheng Automation works from customer drawings and delivers one-off or batch parts to the required material, tolerance, and surface finish.
