Pressure steam sterilizers fall into two main types: gravity displacement and pre-vacuum.

1. Gravity displacement pressure steam sterilizer

A gravity displacement pressure steam sterilizer is also called a downward displacement sterilizer. It removes air by gravity displacement. During sterilization, hot steam flows from top to bottom inside the sterilizer and pushes cold air out through the lower exhaust port. As cold air leaves, saturated steam takes its place and releases latent heat to sterilize the load. This type has a relatively simple structure and is easy to operate.

2. Pre-vacuum pressure steam sterilizer

A pre-vacuum pressure steam sterilizer uses a mechanical vacuum pump to create negative pressure in the sterilization chamber. Under negative pressure, steam penetrates the load quickly and sterilization is more effective. Based on the number of vacuum cycles, pre-vacuum sterilizers are divided into pre-vacuum and pulsating vacuum types.

Pre-vacuum: one vacuum cycle removes part of the air, but a small amount may remain.

Pulsating vacuum: multiple vacuum cycles remove air more thoroughly, so sterilization is more reliable. Pulsating vacuum pressure steam sterilizers are widely used in healthcare, research, and other fields.

The main split is by how cold air is removed: gravity displacement and pre-vacuum. Pre-vacuum sterilizers are further divided into pre-vacuum and pulsating vacuum types.

Hansheng Automation's precision custom machining capability is not limited to pressure steam sterilizers. In addition to sterilizer valve bodies, seal seats, and door lock parts, we machine tobacco packaging machinery parts, filling machinery parts, and precision components for yachts and RC cars. We also take on non-standard parts for food machinery and medical devices. We work from customer drawings and support single-piece and small-batch orders.
