For a small recycled paper line producing 1 to 5 tons per day, the equipment follows the waste paper process and falls into four groups: pulping and deinking, stock cleaning, paper forming, and finished product post-treatment. All are compact industrial models sized for small batch production.

Pulping and deinking equipment

Horizontal small pulper: Handles 0.5 to 2 tons of old books per batch. A built-in feed hopper takes in dismantled old paper automatically. Internal heating coils keep water at 40 to 50°C. This speeds up softening of the spine glue and ink separation and avoids excessive fiber cutting.

Air flotation small deinking unit: Works with a circulating water pump and a froth scraper. Bubbles attach to floating ink particles and plastic film fragments. For old books with high ink concentration, a two-stage flotation unit can be added to improve deinking efficiency. Floor space is only 2 to 3 m².

Fiber deflaker, optional: For hardcover old books with cardboard edges, a small deflaker can further break up residual glue lumps and hard fiber bundles.

Stock cleaning equipment

High-frequency vibrating screen: Uses a 0.5 to 1 mm stainless steel screen to remove staples, unbroken hard paper pieces, glue residue, and other impurities after pulping. This prevents downstream equipment jams.

Small cyclone desander: Uses centrifugal force to separate sand and heavy impurities from pulp. A 0.75 to 2.2 kW slurry pump is enough for circulating cleaning. No large power package is needed.

Paper forming equipment

Small cylinder paper machine: The core unit of a small recycled paper line. Daily capacity covers 1 to 5 tons. It combines wire forming, press dewatering, and hot air drying. Overall length is 8 to 12 m. Machine speed is variable-frequency controlled at 10 to 20 m/min. It suits small batch, multi-grade production.

Hand papermaking frame plus small drying rack: Only for very small hand papermaking output. It has no batch production capacity and is not an industrial small equipment option.

Finished product post-treatment equipment

Small hydraulic paper cutter: Cuts finished recycled paper. Cutting accuracy reaches ±0.5 mm. Custom cutting sizes are supported for small batch orders.

Vertical small baler: Bales cut finished paper. Baling pressure is 10 to 20 tons. It fits small warehouse storage and transport needs.

Operating notes

Before operation, remove metal staples and hard covers from old books to avoid equipment damage. Chemicals such as caustic soda and hydrogen peroxide used in deinking must be mixed by trained personnel at the correct ratio, with skin and respiratory contact avoided. During operation, follow the operating procedure and stay clear of rotating parts.

For recycled paper equipment builders, Hansheng Automation can machine custom screen plates, pulper rotors, forming cylinder parts, and cutter components from customer drawings, in single pieces or small batches.

Beyond recycled paper equipment, our precision component customization covers more than one industry. We machine yacht precision components, RC car precision components, printing machinery parts, filling machinery parts, tobacco packaging machinery parts, food machinery parts, and medical device components. Hansheng Automation works from customer drawings and delivers one-off or batch parts to the required material, tolerance, and surface finish. Our scope is precision components, not complete machines.
