Automatic packaging machines in food processing and manufacturing generally follow an integrated digital route: roll film bag making, precise metering and filling, and heat sealing and cutting. The line ties bag making, filling, and sealing into one cycle under PLC control.
Roll film bag making
The roll film is food-grade laminate, mainly PE and OPP. Bag length is positioned by a photoelectric encoder, while film flattening, former shaping, and bottom seal pre-pressing happen in sync. A waste film take-up unit is included. The machine handles back seal, three-side seal, and four-side seal bag types, with changeover within 15 minutes. Formers and bottom seal pre-press blocks are wear parts. We can machine them to customer drawings in 304 stainless steel or aluminum alloy, with hard anodizing or PTFE coating to reduce film friction.
Metering and filling
Granules and powders mainly use volumetric metering, with accuracy around ±1 g. When higher precision is needed, gravimetric metering brings it to ±0.5 g. Fluids are filled by piston pump or filling valve, which also handles foaming products such as sauces and liquid milk, with an anti-drip structure at the end of the line. The fit clearance of metering screws, plungers, and filling valve cores directly affects fill accuracy. We machine these to drawing for single pieces or small batches.
Heat sealing and cutting
The heat sealing head uses PID closed-loop temperature control, holding error within ±2°C to match the seal strength required by different films. The cutter is servo-driven with ±0.2 mm cutting accuracy, leaving no false or burred edges at the bag mouth. Heat sealing heads and cutter seats run hot and under pressure, so flatness and mounting hole positions are held to tight tolerances. We can custom machine them to customer drawings.
Digital support
The machine runs on a PLC with a touchscreen. Bag length, fill volume, and sealing temperature can be switched with one touch, without stopping for adjustment. Some models add vision inspection to detect missing material and broken bags, automatically rejecting defective units within 0.5 seconds.
Safe operating limits
The heat sealing unit has a thermal guard and a safety door interlock. If the door opens during operation, the machine stops. The roll film drive area is fitted with guarding. Before startup, confirm the emergency stop button works. Operators must hold the relevant equipment operation certificate.
Beyond these components, our precision machining capability also covers non-standard parts for food machinery, pharmaceutical packaging machinery, and printing machinery, as well as functional parts for tobacco packaging machinery and filling machinery. Precision structural parts for yachts and RC race cars can also be machined to drawing. Hansheng Automation takes on single pieces or small batches, with material, tolerance, and surface finish specified by the drawing.
