Vacuum packaging bags work with a vacuum packaging machine. Inside the machine, the vacuum pump and heat sealing assembly handle air extraction and sealing.

1. Vacuum packaging machine

A vacuum packaging machine performs two actions: pulling air out and heat sealing. There are two common types by use and automation level.

Household vacuum packaging machines are small and simple to operate. They suit kitchen use for food and snacks.

Commercial or industrial vacuum packaging machines have higher power and throughput. They are used in food processing plants, central kitchens, and other batch production settings.

2. Supporting equipment and consumables

The vacuum pump removes air from the bag. Its performance determines the vacuum level. Household machines usually use a small built-in rotary vane pump. Commercial machines often use an external rotary vane pump or piston pump, which reaches a higher vacuum and extracts air faster. We can machine rotary vane pump rotors, end covers, and pump bodies, as well as sealing bar bases and mounting seats, to customer drawings, in stainless steel or cast iron, with clearances held to the drawing.

The heat sealing bar heats the laminate at the bag mouth after air is removed, so the layers melt and bond. Common materials include nickel alloy and PTFE coating. Heating performance affects seal strength and speed. The sealing bar is a wear part, and its flatness and coating uniformity directly affect seal quality.

Vacuum packaging bags must use dedicated multilayer laminated film, such as PA/PE. These materials have high barrier properties and keep air from re-entering. Ordinary plastic bags do not achieve a vacuum seal.

Optional accessories: vacuum canisters or containers for foods with liquid; a vacuum level tester for checking package integrity in industrial settings.

3. Equipment selection

For occasional home use: a single-chamber household vacuum machine is enough. It costs a few hundred RMB.

For small commercial use, such as a braised food shop or fresh food market: a double-chamber vacuum machine offers higher efficiency. Budget around 2,000 to 5,000 RMB.

For large food processing: a fully automatic continuous roll-type or pouch-type vacuum packaging machine. Prices range from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of RMB, and the machine needs a high-power vacuum pump system.

During operation, keep the bag mouth clean and dry. Oil or food residue will prevent a strong seal and cause leaks. Do not vacuum package sharp or bony foods directly, as they can puncture the bag.

Beyond these parts, our precision component machining capability also covers non-standard parts for tobacco packaging machinery and filling machinery, along with precision structural parts for yachts and RC race cars. Hansheng Automation machines single pieces or small batches to customer drawings, with material, tolerance, and surface finish specified by the drawing.
