On a vertical packaging machine, the industry usually calls the part that opens the bag a bag opener. Some call it a bag spreading device. The two terms cover slightly different scopes.

A bag opener is the mechanical part that directly performs the opening action. It opens the bag and leaves room for the product to drop in.

A bag spreading device covers a wider set. It refers to the whole assembly that carries out the spreading function. There is more than one way to do it. Some designs use suction cups to grip both sides of the bag mouth and pull them apart. Others use grippers working together to spread the opening. We can machine suction cup mounts, grippers, swing arms, and linkages to customer drawings, for single pieces or small batches.

Beyond vertical packaging machines, our precision component machining capability also covers non-standard parts for daily chemical packaging machinery, medical devices, and logistics sorting equipment. We also machine precision structural parts for yachts and RC race cars. Hansheng Automation works to drawing, with material, tolerance, and surface finish specified by the drawing.
