Wire production equipment mainly includes drawing machines, stranders, extruders, and cabling machines. The exact setup depends on wire type and process requirements. Hansheng Automation provides build-to-print custom machining for these machines. We make precision parts such as capstan wheels, stranding cages, drive shafts, flanges, and mounting bases from customer drawings, in single pieces or small batches.
1. Conductor processing equipment
Drawing machine: draws copper or aluminum rod down to the required wire diameter. Key parameters include drawing speed up to 30 m/s and area reduction of 15% to 25%.
Annealing equipment: removes work hardening. Copper wire annealing temperature is usually controlled at 400 to 600 °C.
2. Insulation and sheath production equipment
Extruder: screw diameter 45 to 150 mm, length-to-diameter ratio 25:1 to 30:1, temperature control accuracy ±1 °C.
Cross-linking production line: includes a nitrogen-protected cross-linking tube, length 60 to 120 m.
3. Cable forming equipment
Strander: can strand up to 127 single wires, with a lay-to-diameter ratio of 8 to 16.
Cabling machine: disk cabling machine maximum speed 30 rpm; cage cabling machine can handle cross-section 800 mm².
4. Testing equipment
High-voltage tester: AC 3.5 kV/5 min or DC 8.4 kV.
Spark tester: test voltage range 1 to 15 kV.
