Slitting machines serve seven core areas: packaging and printing, papermaking, lithium battery and new energy, film materials, textiles, medical and healthcare, and rubber, plastics, and building materials.
Packaging and printing
This is the broadest application area. Slitting machines cut packaging paper, plastic laminated film, adhesive label stock, corrugated board, and other roll materials to precise widths. They serve food packaging, personal care packaging, and paper cutting after book and magazine printing. Circular blade and flat blade slitting models can both be used.
Papermaking
Slitting machines process large parent paper rolls. This includes tissue paper such as toilet paper and napkins, industrial paper, and specialty paper. They slit full-width parent rolls into widths that meet end-user requirements. Rewinder-slitter combination machines are often used to improve efficiency.
Lithium battery and new energy
This is a fast-growing application with high requirements. Slitting machines cut lithium battery cathode and anode electrode sheets, copper foil, aluminum foil, and other core substrates. They need very high cutting precision and stability. High-precision servo-controlled slitting equipment is often used to keep electrode dimensions consistent. Hansheng Automation can machine custom slitting blades, tension shafts, guide rolls, and wear parts for these machines from customer drawings, in single pieces or small batches.
Film materials
Slitting machines cut PET, PVC, PE, BOPP, and other plastic films, optical films, and insulation films. They prepare raw material for photovoltaic backsheet film, electronic insulation film, packaging film, and similar products. Some applications require cleanroom-compatible slitting machines.
Textiles
In textiles, slitting machines cut fabric, nonwoven fabric, chemical fiber tow, and other roll materials. For example, they slit large greige fabric rolls into narrow fabrics or cut nonwoven fabric for mask and protective clothing material. Some models include automatic edge trim recovery.
Medical and healthcare
Slitting machines cut medical tape, infusion tube film, medical nonwoven fabric, surgical dressing rolls, and other medical consumable materials. They must meet cleanroom standards for medical device production. Some equipment offers sterile cutting.
Rubber, plastics, and building materials
Slitting machines cut rubber rolls, plastic sheets, waterproofing membrane, thermal insulation material, and other products. They fit large-width roll slitting needs. Most models use automatic web guiding to keep slit edges straight.
Our precision component customization is not limited to slitting machines. We also machine yacht precision components, RC car precision components, tobacco packaging machinery parts, and filling machinery parts. Hansheng Automation can produce printing machinery, food machinery, and medical device components from customer drawings. We deliver one-off or batch parts to the required material, tolerance, and surface finish. Our scope is precision components, not complete machines.
