Candy forming is a key step in candy production. The two main machine types are the stamping forming machine for hard candy and the depositing forming machine for hard, semi-soft, and soft candy.
Stamping forming machine
The stamping forming machine is key equipment in hard candy production. Its core parts include the sugar feed wheel, sugar rope, sugar scrap scraper, sugar scrap hopper, sugar discharge scraper, sugar discharge hopper, rotary head, and cutting wheel. Early single stamping machines could make only one candy at a time, so efficiency was low. Modern continuous rotary stamping machines produce multiple candies at the same time, which greatly improves output.
The working flow: the sugar rope is cooled and evened out. It enters the forming machine through the sugar feed wheel. The rotary head pulls it into the forming groove. The cutting wheel presses it into candy pieces. The pieces are pushed into forming holes and cut off by a scraper. They fall into the discharge hopper. After cooling in a vibrating screen, they go to packaging.

Depositing forming machine
The depositing forming machine can produce hard candy, semi-soft candy, and soft candy. It has wide adaptability. Its equipment includes a conveyor, model tray, candy depositing nozzle, depositing pump, storage tank, and cooling device. In the depositing process, candy paste is still flowable. It is metered into the model tray and cooled quickly to set. The candies are then separated and conveyed to the packaging machine.
The depositing pump uses piston movement to push candy paste into the nozzle. By adjusting the piston travel distance, the discharge volume is controlled to match different candy sizes. Each depositing pump has the same number of nozzles below it, corresponding to the number of models on the model tray.
