The hot reflux low-temperature extraction and low-temperature concentration unit integrates four extraction principles: decoction, percolation, countercurrent extraction, and reflux extraction, allowing extraction and concentration to proceed simultaneously. Unlike conventional high-temperature decoction, this process uses vacuum negative pressure to lower the boiling point, completing extraction within a range of 40°C to 100°C, while the concentration temperature is controlled between 50°C and 80°C. The negative pressure causes rapid expansion and rupture of herbal cells, facilitating the release of active components.
During extraction, the secondary steam generated is condensed and returned to the extraction tank as fresh solvent to maintain a high concentration gradient. The hot condensate flows downward through the herbal material layer, creating dynamic percolation, and the extract then enters the concentrator for concentration.
The multifunctional extraction tank is suitable for traditional Chinese medicine, botanical, biopharmaceutical, food, and chemical industries. It can be used for atmospheric pressure, micro-pressure, water decoction, warm immersion, hot reflux forced circulation, percolation, extraction and concentration of aromatic oils, and recovery and concentration of organic solvents.
The duplex filter consists of two single-cylinder filters, allowing filter cleaning or element replacement without shutdown and ensuring continuous operation. Filter elements can be stainless steel cartridges or high-quality honeycomb-type degreased fiber cotton, capable of removing particles above 1μm.
Supporting equipment also includes concentrated liquid pumps, concentrated medicine storage tanks, extraction liquid pumps, and extraction liquid storage tanks. For non-standard interfaces, filter elements, or pump-valve connectors in the above equipment, we can provide single-piece or small-batch machining according to customer drawings.
