Robotic systems are increasingly replacing manual operations across key packaging processes, including case packing, palletizing, sorting, labeling, wrapping, and quality inspection. The following are the main application areas.

1. Case Packing and Palletizing Robots

Six-axis or parallel robots with vision positioning are used to pick food, beverage, and daily chemical products and place them into cartons. Some systems can reach speeds of up to 60 cartons per minute. Articulated palletizing robots with payload capacities from 50 kg to 1,300 kg automatically stack products according to preset patterns, typically replacing four to six workers. Representative models such as the ABB IRB 660 and FANUC M-410iB series offer positioning accuracy around ±0.1 mm. For these robotic cells, custom end-of-arm tooling, gripper fingers, and palletizing fixtures are often required. Hansheng Automation can provide precision machining of such non-standard components according to customer-provided drawings.

2. Sorting and Transport Robots

AGVs and AMRs with payload capacities of 300–1,000 kg use SLAM navigation to automatically transfer raw materials and finished products. Delta sorting robots with three- or four-axis parallel structures can handle up to 200 small e-commerce packages per minute. Typical applications include bin picking in logistics warehouses and material delivery on production lines.

3. Labeling and Coding Equipment

Servo-controlled labeling heads are used for flat bottles and irregularly shaped bottles, with placement accuracy around ±0.5 mm. Vision-based coding systems integrated with OCR inspection can print production dates and batch numbers in real time at speeds of up to 300 pieces per minute.

4. Post-Packaging Handling

Automatic stretch wrapping machines with rotary arms handle pallets weighing up to two tons. Case erecting and sealing lines automatically fold lids, seal cartons, and apply corner protection at rates of 15–20 cartons per minute.

5. Quality Inspection and Vision Detection

2K or 4K cameras detect packaging defects such as stains and printing errors, with accuracy above 99.5%. Weighing sensors identify missing or short-packed items with an accuracy of ±0.1 g.
