Safe operation of a flat vulcanizing press requires checks before startup, close monitoring during production, and proper maintenance after use. Operators should follow the equipment's operating procedures and control the vulcanization parameters according to the specified process requirements.

Checks before operation

Equipment condition

Check that all bolts are securely tightened, belt tension is appropriate, and protective devices are functioning properly before starting the machine.

Hydraulic system

Verify that the hydraulic oil level meets the specified requirements and that the pipelines show no signs of leakage. After starting the hydraulic pump, monitor the pressure to confirm that it remains stable.

Heating system

Check the temperature controller and verify that the heating plates function properly. Set the required vulcanization temperature before starting production.

Precautions during operation

Personal protection

Wear the required protective equipment throughout operation. Keep hands and other body parts away from the heating plate area to prevent burns and other injuries.

Process parameter control

Follow the specified vulcanization temperature and curing time. Do not change these parameters without authorization, as deviations may affect product quality.

Material loading and mold alignment

Distribute the rubber compound evenly in the mold to prevent overflow. When closing the press, align the mold correctly to avoid displacement and potential damage to the mold or equipment.

Monitoring for abnormal conditions

Stop the machine immediately if unusual noise, vibration, or temperature control failure occurs. Inspect the equipment and identify the cause before resuming operation.

Shutdown and maintenance

Shutdown sequence

Switch off the heating power first. Allow the heating plates to cool to a safe temperature before switching off the hydraulic pump.

Cleaning after use

Remove oil stains from the equipment surfaces and clear residual material from the mold. Keep the machine and its working area clean.

Routine maintenance

Lubricate key components as required. Inspect wearing parts regularly and replace them when necessary to maintain reliable equipment operation.
