Regular maintenance helps protect the electrical system, heating plates, and water pressure plate of a flat vulcanizing press. Proper storage, moisture control, periodic heating, and water drainage are important for keeping the equipment in good working condition and extending its service life.

Storage environment

Store the vulcanizing press in a dry, well ventilated area. Excessive moisture can damage electrical wiring and affect the reliability of the control system.

Moisture protection

Avoid operating the vulcanizing press outdoors in rainy weather, as moisture can enter the electrical control cabinet or heating plates.

When moving the machine in a humid environment, raise it off the ground to prevent direct contact with water.

If water enters the heating plate, contact the manufacturer promptly or take appropriate emergency measures. These may include opening the heating plate cover to drain the moisture, heating the plate to 100°C to dry it, and replacing any damaged wiring.

Periodic heating to keep the equipment dry

When the machine remains unused for an extended period, heat the heating plates once every half month. Maintain the temperature at 100°C for half an hour to help keep the internal components dry.

Water drainage after use

Drain all remaining water from the water pressure plate after each use. This is particularly important in winter, when residual water can accelerate rubber cover aging and shorten the service life of the water pressure plate.

For thorough drainage, release the water after the vulcanization holding period has finished but before dismantling the equipment.
