A round steel shot blasting machine removes rust, strengthens, and cleans round steel surfaces. The machine has a compact structure. Its core parts include a motor, a gearbox, and a blast wheel. It is small and light, easy to move and install. The process uses centrifugal force to drive shot. It does not use chemicals or liquid media. It produces no wastewater or waste gas.

It handles a wide range of work. By adjusting shot type (steel shot, ceramic shot), spray angle, and speed, it can treat carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and other materials, as well as different workpiece shapes. For complex curved surfaces or irregular parts, you can change the blast wheel blades or adjust the workpiece fixture for precise cleaning.

It has broad applications. In metalworking, it can remove oxide scale and rust to improve coating adhesion. It can strengthen surfaces by creating a compressive stress layer through shot impact, which raises fatigue strength. It can also level uneven surfaces using irregular spiral blades.

It has high productivity. High-speed centrifugal blasting gives shot speeds of 80 to 100 m/s. Single-pass processing time is short. For example, a round steel bar with a diameter of φ400 mm and a length of 2000 mm can be cleaned in a few minutes. This is 5 to 10 times faster than manual grinding.

It gives good cleaning results. Shot covers the workpiece surface evenly. It can remove more than 99% of surface contaminants. Roughness can reach Ra 2.5 to 12.5 μm. The shock wave from compressed air strengthens the surface layer. Hardness can increase by HRC 2 to 5.

It produces no dust pollution. It uses a high-efficiency dust removal system, such as a bag filter. Dust emission concentration is ≤10 mg/m3, lower than the national standard of ≤30 mg/m3. The operating environment stays clean.

It is easy to operate. A PLC control system lets you preset blasting time, shot flow, and other parameters for automatic operation. Operators only need to load workpieces, start the machine, and monitor status. No special training is required.

It is easy to install and maintain. Modular design allows fast removal and replacement of core parts such as the blast wheel and dust collector. Routine maintenance includes cleaning the shot recovery system and checking blade wear. A single maintenance session takes ≤30 minutes.

We can design and build non-standard shot blasting machines to customer requirements. This includes adjusting machine dimensions, with a maximum processing diameter of φ600 mm, adding a multi-station rotary table, and integrating a spray coating function.

Additional performance data:

  • Maximum processing size: diameter φ400 mm, length 2000 mm;
  • Rated voltage: 380 V, power consumption 15 kW;
  • Noise ≤75 dB;
  • Protection rating IP54, suitable for humid and dusty environments.

Our custom precision component machining capability is not limited to shot blasting equipment. Beyond blast wheel blades, wear liners, and fixtures, we also machine medical device parts, food machinery parts, yacht precision components, RC car structural parts, and non-standard parts for tobacco packaging machinery, filling machinery, and printing machinery. Hansheng Automation works from customer drawings and production quantities to deliver single-piece or low-volume precision machining.
