Maintenance of coating equipment starts with daily operation, key component care, cleaning, and replacement management.

Maintenance of paint filter screens
Choose the right mesh size based on paint viscosity and particle size. Wrong mesh size causes problems. If it is too coarse, particles enter the equipment and cause wear. If it is too fine, it clogs easily and affects paint flow.
After spraying, remove dirt from the screen promptly to prevent buildup from affecting filtration. Replace damaged screens promptly. This prevents impurities from entering the equipment, clogging the spray gun, and causing poor atomization, which affects coating quality.

Solvent use rules
When diluting paint or cleaning equipment, use the solvent specified for that paint. Different paints have different compositions. Using the wrong solvent can cause abnormal paint deposition or caking. This blocks the paint filter, high-pressure valve ports, high-pressure lines, and spray gun passages, and the equipment cannot spray normally.
Dilute paint strictly according to the paint manufacturer's technical requirements. Wrong dilution ratios affect paint performance, such as lower coating adhesion or abnormal drying speed, which then affects product quality.

Maintenance of cylinders and air distribution systems
Do not wipe cylinders and air distribution systems with strong organic solvents. Do not soak them in strong solvents. Strong solvents can corrode metal parts and damage rubber seals, causing air leaks and sluggish action.
Clean all rubber seals only with gasoline or non-solvent cleaners. These cleaners are less corrosive to rubber seals. They remove surface dirt and extend service life.

Cleaning and assembly of pneumatic components
When assembling cylinders, air distribution systems, upper and lower pilot valves, oil misters, pressure regulators, and other pneumatic components after cleaning, keep out rust, sand, dust, and other dirt. Foreign matter in the air path wears component surfaces, causes blockages and leaks, and affects normal operation.
Regularly remove foreign matter from the intake filter element to prevent reduced air intake. A clogged intake filter element causes insufficient air intake. This affects the cylinder and air distribution system and makes the equipment move slowly or weakly.

Timely cleaning after use
Clean the equipment promptly after spraying. Otherwise, cured and caked paint accelerates wear on the paint cylinder, piston rod, seals, and other parts. Cured paint roughens part surfaces, increases motion resistance, makes equipment run unstably, and shortens service life.
Timely cleaning prevents paint residue and curing inside the equipment. It protects the paint cylinder, piston rod, seals, and other key parts, and ensures normal operation next time.

Replacement of important parts
During repair and maintenance, when replacing seals (rubber or PTFE), paint cylinders, piston rods, pressure-bearing parts in the paint hydraulic system, springs, air motors, and air distribution systems, use products from reputable manufacturers. Reputable manufacturers provide reliable quality and stable performance. Their parts match the equipment and ensure normal operation and service life.
Avoid inferior products. Inferior parts may have dimensional deviations or unqualified materials. They can cause oil leaks, air leaks, and inaccurate action, increase repair costs, and even affect product quality.
We can machine custom seals, piston rods, nozzles, and other precision parts for coating equipment from customer drawings, for single-piece or low-volume production.

Special maintenance in high summer temperatures
In high summer temperatures, maintain spraying equipment properly. High temperatures expand internal parts and thin the lubricating oil, which can increase wear and cause oil leaks. You can add cooling measures and adjust lubricating oil viscosity to reduce repair costs and abnormal expenses, lower operating costs, extend service life, and improve company profits.

Our custom precision component machining capability is not limited to coating equipment. Beyond seals, piston rods, and nozzles, we also machine yacht precision components, RC car structural parts, medical device parts, and non-standard parts for food machinery, printing machinery, and tobacco packaging machinery. Hansheng Automation works from customer drawings and production quantities to deliver single-piece or low-volume precision machining.
