Professional coating requires tools in five categories by process: pretreatment, spraying and paint mixing, film curing, protection and cleanup, and quality inspection. They cover the full process from workpiece pretreatment to final acceptance.

Pretreatment tools
These clean oil, oxide scale, rust, and dust from the workpiece surface to ensure coating adhesion.

Manual pretreatment tools: sandpaper of different grits. Coarse 80-120 grit removes heavy rust, fine 320-600 grit levels the surface. Wire brushes, scrapers, angle grinders with wire wheels or sandpaper wheels.

Power pretreatment equipment: high-pressure water guns with fan, straight, and other nozzles for different workpiece oil cleaning needs. Sandblasting or shot blasting equipment for batch removal of oxide scale and rust from metal workpieces. It needs dust collection and must be operated by certified personnel. Ultrasonic cleaners remove stubborn oil from precision workpieces.

Pretreatment auxiliary tools: compressed air blow guns to remove residual dust from workpiece surfaces. Measuring cups or cylinders. pH test paper to check cleaning solution acidity and alkalinity.

Spraying and paint mixing tools
These are the core tools for professional coating.
(1) Spraying equipment

Air spray guns: for general spraying, nozzle diameter 0.8-2.0 mm, suitable for different paint viscosities and spray areas. HVLP guns, low flow high pressure, save paint and are eco-friendly, suitable for fine coating work.

Airless sprayers: atomize paint directly by high pressure, suitable for efficient coating of large flat workpieces.

Electrostatic spray guns: improve paint transfer efficiency, reduce waste, suitable for workpieces with complex curves.

(2) Paint mixing tools

Electric mixers: prevent paint settling and separation, keep performance uniform.

Filter screens 80-200 mesh: filter impurities and lumps from paint, avoid particle defects in the coating.

Electronic scales or precision balances: accurately weigh paint and additive ratios, keep coating performance stable.

Pressure paint tanks: store mixed paint, ensure stable and continuous supply during spraying.
We can machine custom nozzles, valve seats, fixtures, and other precision parts for spraying equipment from customer drawings, for single-piece or low-volume production.

Film curing tools
These accelerate paint film curing and ensure final coating performance.

Industrial baking booths: with hot air circulation and temperature control, temperature range 50-200 °C, suitable for most industrial paint curing. They need fire protection and ventilation. Do not bring flammable or explosive items inside.

Infrared baking lamps: for fast curing of local repair coatings.

UV curing lamps: for UV light curing paints. They need light-blocking protection to avoid UV injury.

Protection and site cleanup tools
These protect worker safety and the appearance quality of the coated product.

Personal protective equipment: gas masks with organic vapor cartridges, solvent-resistant nitrile gloves, safety goggles, anti-static protective clothing.

Site masking tools: masking tape, masking film, dust-proof plastic sheeting to protect non-coated areas from paint contamination.

Cleanup tools: lint-free rags, industrial vacuum cleaners, solvent cleaning buckets to clean residual paint from spray tools. Sanding blocks for manual leveling after touch-up.

Quality inspection tools
These verify whether coating quality meets process standards.

Coating thickness gauges: magnetic or eddy current type, check dry film thickness against process requirements.

Adhesion testers: cross-cut or pull-off method, check adhesion strength between coating and workpiece.

Gloss meters and color difference meters: check coating gloss and color deviation, ensure appearance consistency.

Our custom precision component machining capability is not limited to coating tools. Beyond nozzles, valve seats, and fixtures, we also machine medical device parts, food machinery parts, yacht precision components, RC car structural parts, and non-standard parts for printing machinery and filling machinery. Hansheng Automation works from customer drawings and production quantities to deliver single-piece or low-volume precision machining.
