The key to installing a vacuum line on a small sealing machine is tight connections and no leaks. The general steps are below.
Preparation
Place the sealing machine on a stable table or floor. Connect the power plug to a 220 V, 50 Hz single-phase supply. Prepare the vacuum tube, a vacuum source such as a vacuum pump, and the needed fittings and connectors.
Connect the vacuum source
Connect one end of the vacuum tube to the vacuum pump inlet. Make the connection tight. This is the first step in preventing leaks.
Connect the sealing machine
Connect the other end of the vacuum tube to the sealing machine vacuum port. The port is usually on the side or back of the machine and is clearly marked. Make the connection tight as well, so it does not come loose. If port seats, connectors, seal seats, or tube clamps need machining to drawing, we can handle single pieces or small batches from customer drawings. Check sealing
Start the vacuum pump and check all connections for leaks. You can feel for airflow by hand, or apply soapy water to the joints and watch for bubbles. If there is a leak, retighten the connection or replace the seal.
