Tire curing press heating plates use several structural designs to meet different heating, mechanical support, mold installation, and power supply requirements. Four typical designs include electric heating structures, integrated welded structures, mold compatible structures, and balanced three phase heating configurations.

Electric heating structure

This design features a cavity inside the heating plate body, which is filled with a liquid medium. Electric heating rods are inserted into straight bores on the outer side of the plate.

A support plate passes through the upper and lower walls to improve mechanical stability. Mounting plates allow multiple heating plates to operate together.

The design offers uniform heating, precise temperature control, and relatively low sealing requirements. It also has the advantages of low cost, environmental benefits, and energy efficiency.

Integrated welded structure

This structure consists of upper and lower annular main plates. The outer flanges, inner flanges, and reinforcing ribs are matched precisely, while connecting pipes and spacer rings are welded in place.

The integrated welded design improves structural rigidity and heat transfer efficiency. It is suitable for large vulcanizing presses, where controlling deformation during prolonged high temperature operation is important.

Mold compatible structure

In this design, a cylindrical mounting plate is welded to the bottom surface of the main body. Fixing plates on both sides match the vertical guide rail connectors, while multiple clamping jaws are arranged around the perimeter to secure the mold.

The side of the heating plate has high pressure gas inlet and outlet ports. A central mounting hole accommodates a combined hydraulic cylinder that drives mold movement. Slots on the surface allow additional functional modules to be installed.

These features improve mold installation efficiency and provide greater flexibility in heat exchange.

Balanced three phase heating structure

A representative design is the configuration used by Himile Technology, which places three heating modules around the outer edge of the plate body.

Each module contains electric heating elements connected in series. The three modules have equal total impedance and can connect directly to a balanced three phase power supply, forming a balanced electrical load.

This configuration simplifies circuit layout and reduces maintenance complexity. It is particularly suitable for large scale integration in industrial production facilities.
