Feed premix production combines small-dose ingredients with larger carrier materials. The main equipment covers crushing, mixing, packaging, and weighing. Each stage affects formula accuracy and final blend uniformity. Hansheng Automation can machine non-standard parts for this equipment, such as wear plates, mixer shafts, and mounting components, from customer drawings.

Crushing Equipment

Crushers and Hammer Mills

Crushers reduce blocky or granular raw materials to powder. This step prepares ingredients for later mixing and helps avoid uneven particle size in the premix. Hammer mills and similar crushers are common in this stage. We can machine replacement wear parts such as hammers, screens, and liners to drawing when a standard part does not fit the application.

Mixing Equipment

Small Pre-Mixers

Small-dose ingredients, including multiple minerals and vitamins, are first mixed in a small pre-mixer. The mixing time is usually 5 to 15 minutes. This step disperses minor ingredients before they meet the main batch and helps prevent agglomeration or segregation in the final premix.

Large Main Mixers

The pre-mixed minor ingredients then go into a large mixer with the other ingredients used in larger amounts. Mixing time is usually 20 to 30 minutes. The large mixer brings the batch to the required uniformity. Ribbon mixers, paddle mixers, and similar designs are selected according to the material and batch size.

Packaging Equipment

Packaging Machines

After mixing, the product is conveyed through pipes to a packaging machine. The machine fills the finished premix into packaging containers. The packaging stage should match the output of the mixing line and maintain the same batch identity through the filling process.

Measuring and Weighing Equipment

Balances and Scales

Electronic balances, electronic price computing scales, and platform scales are used to weigh raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products. Weighing accuracy matters because premix formulas often include small amounts of active ingredients. Consistent weighing supports repeatable batch results.

Process Summary

These equipment types support feed premix production: crushing, pre-mixing, main mixing, conveying, packaging, and weighing. The sequence and equipment size depend on the formula, batch size, and output requirements. Used together, they can meet the production needs of feed premix.

Our precision custom machining capability is not limited to feed premix equipment. Hansheng Automation also produces parts for filling machinery, food processing equipment, and tobacco packaging machinery, along with precision components for yachts and RC cars. From single parts to small batch runs, we machine to customer drawings and deliver parts for assembly.
