The common problems and solutions for fully automatic carton sealing machines are as follows:

1. Carton Jamming Problems

Width or height adjusted too small
Operators may be unfamiliar with the machine or make incorrect adjustments, causing cartons to fail to pass through smoothly.
Solution: Place the carton on the working table of the sealing machine, compare and adjust to the appropriate size, and ensure the conveying channel is unobstructed.

Carton too light
The sealing machine relies on the carton striking the guide belt roller to apply tape. If the carton weight is insufficient, it cannot push the guide belt roller, resulting in jamming.
Solution: Adjust machine parameters or increase carton weight, such as adding auxiliary filling material, to ensure sufficient striking force.

Tape not cut
A dull cutter or tape residue on the blade may cause the tape not to be cut, leaving the carton stuck in the machine core.
Solution: Regularly clean tape debris and dust from the cutter, and replace the cutter when necessary. Hansheng Automation can custom-machine replacement cutters and related wearing parts according to customer drawings or samples.

2. Simple Repair Handling

Slow sealing speed or insufficient stroke
This may be caused by loose bolts or wear on the front clasp or trigger inner plate.
Solution: Tighten the bolts, and replace the worn front clasp or trigger inner plate.

Air leakage at the piston rod
Leakage is usually caused by damage to the bottom of the main body.
Solution: Contact technical personnel to replace the bottom part of the main body.

Air leakage at the exhaust port
This may be caused by damage to the switch valve ring, switch seat ring, or piston ring.
Solution: Replace the damaged valve ring, seat ring, or piston ring.

Air leakage at the trigger
This is caused by damage to the switch valve ring or switch seat ring.
Solution: Replace the damaged valve ring or seat ring.

Loose transmission ring and failure to position
This may be caused by a damaged plastic-steel strip or loss of spring elasticity in the transmission spring.
Solution: Remove the trigger assembly, reinstall the spring pin, or replace the plastic-steel strip and transmission spring.

3. Chain Looseness Problems

Slight looseness
When the chain is only slightly loose, the tightness can be adjusted by reducing the number of chain links.
Solution: Remove some chain links to temporarily restore proper tension and reduce replacement cost.

Severe looseness
If the chain is excessively long or severely worn, professional repair is required.
Solution: Contact after-sales service personnel to replace the chain or repair the transmission system.

4. Maintenance Issues

Lubricating oil replacement
Regularly replace the lubricating oil in the worm gear reducer, such as No. 10, No. 20, or No. 30 machine oil.
Key point: Replace every 3–6 months depending on usage frequency to prevent oil deterioration from affecting transmission efficiency.

Chain adjustment and repair
When the chain is too loose, first adjust by reducing the number of links. If it is excessively long, professional repair is needed.
Key point: After adjustment, run the machine again and observe whether operation is smooth.

Rolling bearing maintenance
Regularly disassemble and clean all rolling bearings, then add new grease.
Key point: Maintain every 6–12 months to extend bearing service life.

Friction surface cleaning
Regularly remove dirt from chains, sprockets, and friction surfaces, and reapply lubricating oil.
Key point: Use dedicated cleaning agents to avoid residual impurities that accelerate wear.

Safe operation
Power must be disconnected during maintenance to prevent accidental startup.
Key point: Perform maintenance only after the equipment has completely stopped, and display warning signs.

5. Product Features and Usage Recommendations

Technical advantages
The machine uses high-quality components and pneumatic parts to ensure stability. Belt drives on both sides are suitable for sealing heavy cartons.

Safety design
Blade protection devices are installed to prevent operator injury. Width and height can be manually adjusted according to carton specifications.

Compatibility
The machine can operate independently or be integrated with automated production lines to improve packaging efficiency.

Summary
Common problems with fully automatic carton sealing machines are mostly related to adjustment, wear, or insufficient maintenance. Standardized operation, regular maintenance, and timely replacement of wearing parts can significantly reduce failure rates and extend equipment life. If the problem is complex or involves core components, it is recommended to contact professional technical personnel.
