Printing equipment is mainly composed of the sheet feeding device, the printing device, the delivery device, and other auxiliary devices.
Sheet Feeding Device
The sheet feeding device is responsible for mounting, continuously supplying, and replacing roll paper. It includes the roll support mechanism, the paper loading mechanism, and the splicing mechanism. Roll support mechanisms come in several forms, such as core shaft support, shaftless support, and core shaft support bases. The paper loading mechanism handles the process from the gradual reduction of roll diameter to the replacement of a new roll, and may use loading arms, pneumatic mechanisms, or electric mechanisms. For long-run printing, a non-stop automatic splicing device is also required to ensure continuous operation.
Printing Device
The printing device is the key section that transfers the inked image from the plate to the paper. It mainly consists of the printing cylinders and the inking or dampening system.
Delivery Device
The delivery device in web-fed presses is responsible for rewinding, folding, or collecting the printed web. It includes drying and cooling units, rewinding units, and folding units. Drying and cooling units are used to dry and cool the web to prevent heat damage. Rewinding units rewind the printed web in flexible packaging printing. Folding units cut and fold the printed web.
Other Devices
Other devices include positioning, conveying, guiding, detection, tension control, and registration control systems. These ensure stability and efficiency throughout the entire printing process.
In practical use, the reliability of these systems also depends on the precision of non-standard mechanical parts such as guide rollers, tension shafts, and folding cylinders. Hansheng Automation supports custom machining of such components from customer drawings or samples, including single-piece and small-batch orders.
