IT Home reported on September 18 that EHang's EH216-S unmanned manned aircraft is the world's first eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft with three complete certificates, and has obtained type certificate (TC), airworthiness certificate (AC), and production license (PC) as of April this year.
According to the Yangcheng Evening News, He Tianxing, vice president of EHang, revealed that it is expected that the world's first unmanned manned aircraft operation certificate (OC) will be issued within this year, and the "air taxi" service is expected to be launched by the end of the year.

With a fuselage length of 5.73 meters and a height of 1.93 meters, the EH216-S is officially claimed to be fully charged in two hours, with a maximum flight speed of 130 km/h, a flight time of 25 minutes, and a design range of 30 km.
At present, EH216-S has completed more than 50,000 safety test flights in 16 countries around the world, including manned test flights, which can be applied in scenarios such as manned transportation, air tours, air logistics, and medical emergency response.
According to a previous report by IT House, like the previous type certificate airworthiness certification, the OC certification of EH216-S unmanned manned aircraft cannot directly follow the existing standards in the field of civil aviation for qualification certification, and it is necessary to innovate and improve on the basis of existing regulations to build a new and applicable standard system.
In other words, EHang's OC certificate application has been accepted by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, which means that the world's first manned eVTOL operation standard system is about to be born.
