The key to maintaining accuracy of high-speed packaging machinery equipment during long-term operation is often hidden in the details of component processing. Material Selection - Against Vibration and Fatigue

 

High speed packaging machines are accompanied by high-frequency start stop and inertial impact during operation. If the frame and core structural components lack sufficient damping capacity, small vibrations will be amplified, directly leading to poor sealing or cutting errors.

At Hansheng, we use high-grade low-alloy gray cast iron or ductile iron for key components such as the packaging machine cam box and main base. By strictly controlling the ratio of carbon equivalent to alloying elements, the excellent graphite morphology in the casting matrix structure is ensured, enabling it to have excellent shock absorption capacity and high rigidity, effectively absorbing the kinetic energy impact generated by high-speed operation.

Thanks to Hansheng Precision's comprehensive molding process system, we have mature process control capabilities for sand casting, lost foam casting, and gravity casting. Our casting production line has the ability to handle large components with a maximum size of 3800 * 1500 * 1200mm, and can stably control the free tolerance of the blank within ± 1mm.

Stress relief

 

It should be noted that the formation of casting blanks is only the first step. You also need to understand that during the cooling process, significant residual stresses can accumulate inside the casting due to differences in thermal expansion and contraction caused by uneven wall thickness. These stresses will slowly release in the following months or even years, causing "aging deformation" of the castings. For packaging machines with micrometer level precision, even small deformations are unacceptable.

At Hansheng, all core castings undergo strict natural aging precipitation and are matched with high-precision CNC thermal aging treatment and vibration aging processes. We also monitor the natural frequency changes of the workpiece through a spectrum analyzer until the residual stress is completely released, ensuring that the geometric dimensions of the casting (excluding size changes not caused by external factors) are finalized throughout its entire lifecycle.

Only castings that have completely eliminated stress can be subjected to subsequent precision machining. Based on stable materials, our machining accuracy can easily reach ± 0.005mm. For critical bearing mating surfaces and guide rail mounting surfaces, we can even achieve a super mirror machining level of ± 0.002mm.
