Tesla said, "It took us 12 years for the first 1 million vehicles. The 7th 1 million units took only 7 months. "

 

According to IT House, the factory in Fremont, California, is Tesla's earliest production base, which began producing Model S models in 2012. Since then, Tesla's production has continued to climb and surpassed 3 million units in May 2024. Just six months later, it exceeded 4 million units again.

 

Tesla today announced the company's financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2024, which showed that Tesla Motors' total vehicle production in the third quarter was 469796 units, an increase of 9% compared to 430488 units in the same period last year, and an increase compared to 410831 units in the previous quarter. Tesla Motors' total vehicle deliveries in the third quarter were 462,890 units, up 6% from 435059 units in the same period last year and up from 443956 units in the previous quarter.

 

In the conference call after the earnings report, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that thanks to the reduction of car costs and the emergence of autonomous driving, Tesla's car sales can increase by 20%-30% next year in the best case.
