The hot reflux extraction concentrator achieves extraction and concentration of active components from medicinal materials through solvent circulation and vacuum concentration. In operation, the medicinal materials are first loaded into the extraction tank, and a solvent such as water or ethanol is added at 5 to 10 times the amount of the materials. The type of solvent is determined according to the extraction process requirements. The steam valve of the extraction tank is then opened for decoction, typically lasting about 1 hour.

 

After decoction, the vacuum pump is started to draw the liquid from the extraction tank into the heater. The steam valve of the first heater is opened for heating and evaporation, and the generated steam is used to heat the extraction tank. At the same time, the valve of the buffer water storage tank is opened, allowing the condensate to return to the tank through the spray pipe at the top, forming a continuous circulation that usually lasts 3 to 4 hours. After circulation, the steam valve of the extraction tank and the secondary steam valve of the first heater are closed, and the steam valve of the second heater is opened to begin the concentration and paste collection stage. For non-standard parts such as spray pipes, steam valve connectors, and seals, we can provide single-piece or small-batch machining according to customer drawings.
