A flatbed screen printing machine uses a transmission mechanism to drive the squeegee across the screen and substrate. The squeegee applies pressure, forcing ink through the mesh openings of the screen and depositing it onto the substrate. After the printing stroke is completed, the squeegee and the screen lift together from the substrate and return for the ink recovery stroke. This forms one complete printing cycle.
Screen mesh requirements for flat screen printing
Sufficient strength
The screen must withstand the tension applied during stretching and printing. This supports stable, accurate printing.
High abrasion resistance
Wear resistance extends the service life of the screen stencil and allows higher print runs. It also makes recycling easier and more cost-effective.
Low shrinkage and elongation
When exposed to water or moisture, the screen should keep stable dimensions. This avoids negative effects on print accuracy and quality.
Smooth mesh surface
A smooth surface reduces the risk of mesh clogging and supports smooth ink transfer. It improves printing efficiency and quality.
Uniform mesh openings
Evenly sized openings distribute ink consistently. This gives uniform color and clear print definition.
Good solvent resistance
The screen material should keep its physical properties after contact with solvents. This supports long-term stability and durability under continuous printing.
For replacement of non-standard screen frames, squeegee holders, or tension adjustment components used in flatbed screen printing machines, Hansheng Automation provides custom precision machining based on customer drawings or sample parts.
