A gravity separator is designed for cleaning and grading granular materials based on differences in specific gravity, with the assistance of airflow and vibration. It is widely used for grains, seeds, and similar bulk materials.
Working Principle
Place the machine on a level surface, connect the power supply, and start the operating switch. Confirm that the motor rotates clockwise to ensure the machine enters the correct working state. Then pour the material to be screened into the feed hopper. According to the particle size, adjust the baffle at the bottom of the hopper so that the material enters the upper screen evenly. At the same time, the cylindrical fan above the screen delivers air toward the discharge end of the screen. The air inlet below the fan can also be connected directly to a cloth bag to collect light impurities from the grain.
Main Features
The machine offers large screening capacity, high cleaning purity, easy mobility, simple operation, and economical cost. A key feature is its double-layer screen design. The first screen mainly separates large straw and belt-like foreign materials. The second screen handles clean grain, where a fan blows away remaining light impurities. The cleaned grain is then thrown out through a conveyor belt, and during this throwing process, a second screening is completed.
The equipment is mobile and flexible, easy to operate, occupies little space, and requires little maintenance. The grain screening machine mainly consists of a hopper, frame, transmission mechanism, fan, and air duct. Four wheels are installed at the base of the frame for easy movement. The screen and frame use a split structure, making it convenient to replace screens with different mesh sizes for different materials. For such hoppers, screen frames, and air duct components, Hansheng Automation provides custom-machined parts according to customer drawings.
The gravity separator uses stage screening. The first stage removes coarse impurities such as leaves and straw. The second stage separates plump grain from inferior grain. The third stage removes heavy substances such as dust from quality grain. The machine is simple to operate and highly adaptable. By replacing the screen size, it can be used to screen different types of materials.
