Whether it is the electronics industry or the mechanical assembly industry, when using an automation system, it is desirable that the whole set of machinery does not produce too much noise when running. On the one hand, it can prevent excessive noise and abnormal damage to the machinery itself, on the other hand, if the sound is too loud, it will be difficult for engineers and technicians to make correct sound judgments when there are some mechanical abnormalities or failures.

When the automation system is too loud, the first thing to judge is the various parameters of the machine in operation, because as the machine itself, there is a natural noise due to friction or vibration. After eliminating the noise inherent in the operation of the machine itself, the existing situation is analyzed in order to make an accurate judgment.
The cam indexer itself does not have a drive function. It requires the motor as a drive source to perform its role. When the sound of the automation system is too loud, it is necessary to confirm whether it is the sound of the motor or reducer rotating, or the vibration caused by the rotation, whether the disc and other parts are causing noise due to abnormal friction with other parts when rotating, and at the same time, the type of sound should also be distinguished from the auditory sense, such as vibration, friction, and shock.
Inspect the mounting surface of the disk, motor, indexer, etc. of the automation system, especially the mounting surface of the indexer. In addition to loading the entire automation system, most motors, reducers, etc. are also mounted directly on the indexer. In this case, if the mounting surface is unstable or the associated screws are loose, the use of the entire automation system will be affected.
If the output current of the motor inverter as the drive source is unstable, the shaft speed of the indexer will be fast or slow. If the speed of the input and output shafts is uneven, it will cause noise in the indexer body, and the stability of the current output of the inverter must be ensured when it is necessary to measure the current of the inverter and check the current of the inverter.
In the selection of the indexer, if the calculation is not carried out, the moving load of the whole automation system exceeds the load that the indexer itself can bear, and the cam indexer will produce large abnormal noise. In the case of heavy loads, friction and collision between indexer components will intensify, creating greater wear and more noise.
Therefore, all fastening screws of the connecting and fixing parts must be locked before the indexer can be put into service. In addition, it is necessary to check whether there is enough lubricating oil in the box of the indexer. Confirm the cabinet when using. Regardless of whether it is overheated outside or not, these can indirectly cause the protractor to be too loud.
