In the turntable automation device, under the premise that the motor is the driving source, the motor is connected with the input shaft of the indexer, and the input shaft drives the output shaft to carry out mechanical movement. As the whole mechanism of the indexer, the stability of the action of the input shaft determines the stability of the entire indexer, which is the torque value of the cam indexer.

From the perspective of mechanical motion principle, there are three main factors that affect the input axis of the indexer:
1. Mechanical inertia, any machine will produce mechanical inertia when it is in motion, but the inertia is different due to the different properties of the machine itself. The input shaft of the indexer rotates continuously, and the output shaft performs intermittent or oscillating mechanical actions. The process of moving to stop creates the inertia of power switching. Similarly, the process from stopping to moving creates a corresponding mechanical inertia. The inertia generated by the indexer itself is largely derived from the cam structure curve of the indexer. The point, line, and surface transmission action of the arc cam and the smoothness of the needle roller bearing of the output shaft can also be called the degree of mechanical coordination, and the processing curve of the cam comes from the machining program design of the arc cam, so the cam processed by different equipment will have essential differences in the application, which is the reason. For the distinction between imported equipment and domestic processing equipment, from the current stage, this is also a very important factor. I believe that in the near future, with the progress of technology, our domestic processing equipment will also be able to reach the level of mechanical technology in developed countries.
2. In the case of chain drive or multi-angle transmission, the reaction force is mainly generated by the input shaft of the indexer. The transmission of chains or gears can cause mechanical clearances at the inputs, so noise and vibration are unavoidable.
3. In rotary transmission equipment, the bending, eccentricity, deformation and displacement of the connecting hole between the motor and the indexer shaft will also affect the stability of the indexer torque value. This requires that the rules of mechanical installation must be observed when installing the indexer, and that the connection of the shaft to the bearing used should be tested under conditions before the connection is made.
