Cigarette production equipment in cigarette factories can be divided into three main categories based on core processes: cigarette making machines, filter assembling machines, and packaging equipment. In a narrow sense, the term "cigarette making machine" specifically refers to equipment that converts cut tobacco into individual cigarette rods.

I. Cigarette Making Machines

These machines complete quantitative tobacco feeding, cigarette paper gluing, rod forming, and cutting into individual cigarettes. They are classified by production speed and configuration.

Low-speed cigarette making machines
Representative models include the domestic ZJ17, with a rated speed of 8,000 cigarettes per minute. These are mostly used in small and medium-sized cigarette factories or product trial workshops. They have a relatively simple structure and controllable maintenance costs.

Medium-to-high-speed cigarette making machines
Representative models include the domestic ZJ112 and the Swiss GD X1 series, with rated speeds of 10,000 to 12,000 cigarettes per minute. These are the core equipment on mainstream cigarette production lines in China.

High-speed cigarette making machines
Representative models include the domestic ZJ118 and the Swiss GD X2 series, with rated speeds above 16,000 cigarettes per minute. They are used on ultra-high-speed production lines in very large cigarette factories and require extremely high precision and stability.

II. Filter Assembling Machines

These machines join cigarette rods with filter tips and wrap them with tipping paper. This is the second core process in cigarette production.

Conventional filter assembling machines
Representative models include the domestic YJ27 and the Swiss GD KDF2 series, with rated speeds of 10,000 to 12,000 cigarettes per minute. They match mainstream medium-to-high-speed cigarette making machines and perform basic cigarette-to-filter joining.

High-speed filter assembling machines
Representative models include the domestic YJ47 and the Swiss GD KDF3 series, with rated speeds above 16,000 cigarettes per minute. They can match the output of high-speed cigarette making lines.

Multi-functional filter assembling machines
These machines can perform customized operations such as double-row cigarette assembly, capsule filter insertion, and special-shaped filter tip joining, making them suitable for personalized cigarette products.

III. Packaging Equipment

This equipment packages finished cigarettes into small packs, cartons, and finished shipping cases. It is the final stage of cigarette production.

Small pack packaging machines
Representative models include the domestic YB45 and the Swiss GD ZB45. They can handle soft-pack and hard-pack cigarettes, with rated speeds of 200 to 400 packs per minute.

Carton packaging machines
Representative models include the domestic YB65 and the Swiss GD YB65. They complete carton wrapping and case packing of small cigarette packs, with rated speeds of up to 100 to 150 cartons per minute.

Integrated cigarette making and packaging lines
An example is the Swiss GD H1000 high-speed integrated line, which combines cigarette making, filter assembling, and packaging into one continuous production line without intermediate material transfer, enabling very large-scale production.

For cigarette factories that need to maintain high-speed lines or adapt equipment to non-standard cigarette formats, wear parts such as garniture tapes, folding fingers, and sealing jaws often require custom machining. Hansheng Automation can produce these precision components based on customer-supplied drawings.
