The dedicated equipment for vacuum sealing cups is a cup-type vacuum sealer. Based on output requirements, it comes in semi-automatic and fully automatic models.
Core Workflow
Seal positioning: Place the cup with its lid or open top into the sealing station. Align the sealing film and close the chamber.
Vacuum: Evacuate air from the sealed chamber to the set vacuum level. For food packaging, the typical vacuum range is -0.08 to -0.1 MPa.
Heat press or screw capping: A heated head presses the sealing film onto the cup rim, or the machine simultaneously tightens a threaded cap to complete the vacuum seal.
Exhaust and cup removal: Once the chamber returns to normal pressure, remove the sealed cup.
Model Types and Applications
Semi-automatic cup vacuum sealer
Single-station design. Manual loading and unloading. Output is about 10 to 30 cups per minute. Suitable for small-batch trials and in-store custom sealing, such as hand-made milk tea cups and sample sauce cups.
Fully automatic cup vacuum sealer
Integrates automatic cup feeding, positioning, vacuuming, heat sealing, and discharge. Output can reach 30 to 120 cups per minute. Built for large-scale line production, commonly used for prepared food cups and ready-to-drink beverage cups.
Key Selection Points
Vacuum level match: Food-grade sealing should use a machine with vacuum ≥ -0.09 MPa to avoid oxidation and spoilage.
Cup size match: Confirm the adjustable cup diameter range covers the target cup diameter and height. Some models can be customized for irregular cups. Hansheng Automation can custom machine sealing dies and heating heads for specific cup sizes and film types.
Sealing material match: Match the heating temperature to common sealing films such as PE, PP, and aluminum foil composite film. The typical heating range is 120 to 180°C.
Safety Limits
Do not open the chamber door while the machine is running. This prevents vacuum loss and burns. Only trained operators should run the equipment. Check the vacuum line for leaks and inspect the heating element regularly.
