An automatic carton flap folding and sealing machine folds the top flaps of a carton and seals both the top and bottom seams with self-adhesive tape. It is built for cartons within a specific size range. Apart from manual adjustment to match the carton size, the machine handles top flap folding and tape sealing on its own. That reduces manual handling time and labor cost.

The machine can run as a standalone unit or work inline with a carton erector, case packer, labeler, strapping machine, palletizer, and conveyor. In a full packaging line, it keeps sealing quality consistent and helps maintain line speed. It is a common piece of equipment in carton packaging lines.

The working principle depends on a mechanical drive system and a control system. The sequence is straightforward:

The carton enters the machine. A mechanical arm or guide mechanism positions it correctly.

The folding mechanism closes and holds the top flaps.

The tape head applies self-adhesive tape to the top and bottom seams.

The carton leaves the sealing station. No manual intervention is needed during the cycle.

The machine is used in food, beverage, electronics, daily chemical, and pharmaceutical packaging. Its adjustable settings and automatic operation make it suitable for different carton sizes and line layouts. When folding arms, guide rollers, tape cutter mounts, or other wear parts need replacement, Hansheng Automation can machine them from customer drawings in single pieces or small batches.
