Depending on the drive method, conveyors are mainly divided into gravity conveyors and powered conveyors. Belt conveyor

Working Principle and Structure

 

It consists of a closed-loop conveyor belt (usually made of cotton or synthetic fabric) wrapped between a driving pulley and a driven pulley. A motor drives the driving pulley, which in turn drives the conveyor belt in a circular motion through friction, transporting items placed on it. To support the conveyor belt and the items, a pallet (for light loads and short distances) or rollers (for heavy loads and long distances) are typically installed underneath.

 

Core Applications and Functions

 

Variable Speed Convergence and Decoupling: This is a very clever application. When two conveyor belts in series have different speeds (for example, the speed v1 of the front section is greater than the speed v2 of the rear section), items can be accumulated on the rear section, achieving dense feeding. Conversely, the distance between items can be increased, achieving intermittent feeding, creating conditions for processes that require fixed spacing, such as labeling and coding.

 

Performance improvement: In order to adapt to different working environments, such as humid, oily or anti-static environments, the wear resistance, corrosion resistance and anti-adhesion performance of the conveyor belt can be significantly improved by coating the surface of the conveyor belt with a protective layer such as chloroprene rubber or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).

Chain conveyor

Chain conveyors

Plate chain conveyors

This type of conveyor is a staple in alcohol and beverage bottling lines, specifically designed for conveying stable containers such as glass bottles, PET bottles, and cans. Its chain plates are typically made of stainless steel, meeting food hygiene requirements while being wear-resistant and easy to clean.

Operating Principle and Structure

 

They consist of a series of equally spaced rollers secured by a support plate. Powered roller conveyors typically use a sprocket and chain system, with a motor driving some or all of the rollers to rotate, thereby moving the goods forward.
