Hot stamping equipment is designed to transfer foil or other stamping materials onto substrate surfaces with precision, creating glossy, three-dimensional patterns or text. There are three main types: platen flat, cylinder flat, and cylinder cylinder.
Platen flat hot stamping machines have a flat stamping plate and a flat impression mechanism. The stamping plate contacts the substrate surface evenly, making them suitable for small-area, high-precision work such as business cards, greeting cards, and certificates. Their simple structure allows easier operation but is limited in speed.
Cylinder flat machines use a flat stamping plate and a rotating cylindrical impression roller. The roller rotates continuously against the flat plate, increasing production efficiency and accommodating some curved surfaces. They are used for paper, plastics, book covers, and packaging boxes.
Cylinder cylinder machines have both stamping plate and impression mechanism as rotating cylinders. The two cylinders roll against each other, providing high speed and stable quality for large-scale continuous production such as labels and flexible packaging.
For these machines, critical components like heated plates, impression rollers, and die mounting bases require precise machining to maintain even pressure and alignment. Hansheng Automation can provide custom-machined parts according to customer drawings for such hot stamping equipment.
