A carton gluing machine is a key piece of equipment on a packaging production line that automatically folds and glues die-cut cardboard into shape. It is widely used in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and daily consumer goods industries. Its stable operation highly depends on the precision and matching of its various functional components, especially the processing quality of non-standard structural parts, which directly determines the overall machine efficiency and the finished product qualification rate.

 

The equipment completes carton production through four continuous processes: paper feeding, pre-folding, gluing, and forming and compaction. The paper feeding mechanism must accurately separate and transport cardboard sheets of different specifications; the pre-folding unit performs controlled pre-bending of creases; the gluing system (cold glue or hot melt glue) applies quantitatively at designated locations; and the final folding and belt compaction mechanism ensures strong adhesion. These actions place strict requirements on the dimensional tolerances, surface roughness, and wear resistance of parts such as guide rails, cams, glue nozzle seats, and pressure roller assemblies.

 

Based on the degree of automation, it can be divided into semi-automatic and fully automatic types. Semi-automatic machines are primarily used for small-batch, multi-variety production, with speeds of approximately 60-120 pieces per minute. Fully automatic machines integrate automatic paper feeding, waste removal, and stacking, achieving capacities of several hundred pieces per minute, making them more suitable for large-volume production of a single product. Regardless of the model, the core moving parts often require specific adjustments based on the actual carton size and production pace.

 

When selecting a machine, key considerations include the maximum/minimum processing size, operating speed, applicable cardboard weight (commonly 200-1200 gsm), and adhesive system type. Achieving these parameters relies heavily on precise control of critical components. Based on customer-provided design drawings, we can perform precision machining of single-piece or small-batch non-standard parts, covering the entire process from material selection (e.g., alloy steel, stainless steel, engineering plastics), tolerance control to surface treatment (hard chrome plating, anodizing, precision grinding, etc.), ensuring the matching accuracy between components and the main machine.

 

In applications such as food and pastry boxes, pharmaceutical cartons, electronic product packaging, and cosmetic gift boxes, the carton structure is becoming increasingly complex, placing higher demands on equipment flexibility. By customizing special parts based on drawings, we can quickly respond to the needs of production line transformation or new model development, shorten the delivery cycle, and reduce the debugging costs caused by incompatibility of general parts.
