Three types of equipment are commonly used to pack ampoule cartons into corrugated cases: automatic horizontal case opening, packing, and sealing machines; vertical case packers; and semi-automatic case packers. Selection depends on production rate, package specifications, and workshop space.

1. Main equipment types

Automatic horizontal case opening, packing, and sealing machine

Working flow: the machine automatically opens the corrugated case, seals the bottom, and conveys and positions it. It pushes ampoule cartons arranged by the cartoner into the case in a full row, then folds the top flaps and seals the case. Line speed reaches 30 to 120 cases per minute, suited to high-speed pharmaceutical packaging lines.

Application: used mainly in ampoule workshops with higher annual capacity. It can connect to the upstream ampoule washing, drying, filling, and sealing line and the cartoner for fully unmanned packaging. For pusher mechanisms, case opening suction cup mounts, and flap folding guides on this type of equipment, we can machine to customer drawings, for single pieces or small batches.

Vertical case packer

Working flow: ampoule cartons are arranged upright, then pushed one by one or in a full row into an upright case by a pusher plate or robotic arm. Some models allow quick tooling changes to fit different carton and case sizes.

Application: suited to larger carton sizes and compact workshop spaces. It takes up less floor area than horizontal equipment, and some models support case opening and packing as separate steps.

Semi-automatic case packer

Working flow: operators open and position the corrugated case by hand, and the machine pushes the ampoule cartons in and seals the case. Output is about 10 to 30 cases per minute, with lower purchase and maintenance cost.

Application: used mainly for small to medium batches and multi-spec ampoule packaging orders. It is flexible and allows quick changeover between package specifications.

2. Selection and operating notes

Match the ampoule carton arrangement. Choose the pusher mechanism that matches the single-row or multi-column stacking pattern of the cartons to avoid jamming.

Match the case type. Confirm the case material and forming method the machine supports. Some machines only handle pre-slotted cases, while others handle flat blanks and perform slotting and forming automatically.

Safety requirements. The machine needs photoelectric sensing and emergency stop guards to prevent pinch injuries from rotating parts. Daily operation and maintenance must be handled by personnel holding the relevant special equipment operation certificate.

Beyond case packing equipment parts, our precision component machining capability also covers non-standard parts for pharmaceutical packaging machinery, food packaging machinery, and daily chemical filling equipment, as well as precision structural parts for yachts and RC race cars. Hansheng Automation machines single pieces or small batches to customer drawings, with material, tolerance, and surface finish specified by the drawing.
