An internal mixer consists of several main components that work together to process rubber and other polymer materials. Each component has a specific function in material feeding, mixing, discharge, and machine operation.
1. Mixing Chamber
The mixing chamber is the main working area of the internal mixer. Rubber or other polymer materials are processed inside the chamber, where they undergo mixing and mastication.
2. Rotors
The internal mixer uses a pair of specially shaped rotors. Their relative rotation creates the mechanical action required to soften and mix the material.
3. Rotor Sealing System
The rotor sealing system helps prevent material leakage around the rotor shafts. Proper sealing supports stable machine operation and helps keep the mixing process under control.
4. Feeding and Pressing System
The feeding and pressing system introduces materials into the mixing chamber and applies pressure during processing. It helps maintain the required material contact with the rotors throughout the mixing cycle.
5. Discharge Mechanism
The discharge mechanism releases the processed material from the mixing chamber when the mixing cycle is complete. Its operation affects material removal and the transition to the next production stage.
6. Drive System
The drive system supplies power to rotate the rotors. It enables the mechanical movement required for rubber mastication and compound mixing.
7. Machine Base
The machine base supports the internal mixer's main components and provides a stable foundation during operation.
Custom precision machining for internal mixer components
Internal mixers depend on mechanical components that meet specific dimensional and assembly requirements. Hansheng Automation provides custom precision machining based on customer drawings, with manufacturing processes selected according to component geometry, material specifications, and tolerances.
Our drawing-based machining services also cover components for packaging and filling machinery, tobacco processing equipment, yacht systems, and RC racing cars. We support prototype development and small batch production of non-standard mechanical parts according to customer drawings and technical requirements.
