The core components of a pharmaceutical filling machine are divided into five functional modules: feeding unit, filling execution unit, sealing unit, control unit, and auxiliary unit. All parts that come into contact with pharmaceutical products must meet GMP hygienic requirements.

1. Feeding Unit

(1) Storage and Monitoring Components

Hygienic 304/316L stainless steel storage tank with a volume matched to daily production capacity and no sanitary dead corners inside the tank.

Level monitoring devices: such as radar level gauges and float level gauges, which upload material quantity data in real time and trigger feeding start/stop alarms.

(2) Conveying and Filtration Components

Hygienic stainless steel conveying pipelines with quick-clamp connections for easy disassembly and cleaning.

Liquid transfer pump: either a rotary lobe pump or centrifugal pump, equipped with a variable frequency drive to match the filling rhythm.

Bag-type or microporous filter to remove impurities from the liquid and prevent blockage of the filling valve.

2. Filling Execution Unit (Core Functional Module)

(1) Filling Valve Assembly

According to the filling process, valves are divided into atmospheric, negative-pressure, and isobaric types, suitable for aqueous solutions, oil-based liquids, powder injections, and other pharmaceutical products.

Anti-drip filling nozzle made of PTFE or stainless steel, with a quick-release structure for easy disinfection.

(2) Metering Device

Volumetric metering: metering cups and piston-type metering cylinders, with filling accuracy controlled by adjusting the stroke.

Gravimetric metering: high-precision weighing sensors provide real-time feedback on filling weight, suitable for injectable products with high accuracy requirements.

(3) Bottle Positioning Components

Pneumatic bottle supports and positioning cylinders align the bottle precisely with the filling nozzle.

Ball-type bottle support plates reduce friction on the bottle body and prevent scratching of packaging.

For non-standard components such as filling valve assemblies, metering cylinders, and bottle positioning parts, Hansheng Automation provides custom machining based on customer drawings, supporting material selection and tolerance control to meet the hygiene and precision requirements of different pharmaceutical filling applications.

3. Sealing Unit (for Bottled Preparations)

(1) Sealing Execution Components

Pneumatic capping head: adjustable torque, suitable for aluminum caps, plastic caps, and other cap types.

Crimping blade assembly: used for aluminum-plastic cap crimping, providing uniform sealing strength.

(2) Cap Feeding Components

Cap sorting machine: automatically arranges and orients caps, then conveys them through a chute to the sealing station.

Cap dispensing device: prevents multiple caps or missing caps from entering the sealing station.

4. Control Unit

Industrial control system: PLC controller and HMI touchscreen for setting filling rhythm, metering parameters, production counting, and storing production data.

Sensor group: photoelectric sensors detect bottle position, pressure sensors monitor pipeline pressure, and temperature sensors support heat-sensitive filling processes.

Safety protection devices: emergency stop button, door interlock, and motor overload protection, in compliance with industrial safety and GMP requirements.

5. Auxiliary Unit

Cleaning and sterilization components: CIP/SIP in-place cleaning nozzles and steam sterilization interfaces for dead-corner-free internal disinfection.

Connecting conveyor mechanisms: slat chain conveyors and belt conveyors that link the filling machine with upstream and downstream processes such as bottle washers and labeling machines.

Protection and frame: 304/316L stainless steel frame and transparent acrylic protective covers to prevent product contamination and operator contact with moving parts.

Special process components: such as explosion-proof motors and dust covers for filling flammable or explosive liquid pharmaceuticals.
