A manual steel strapping tool is a pneumatic packaging machine. It is used in steel and nonferrous metal plants to bundle small tubes, plates, and profiles. It also works for strapping products in wooden crates. Over time, part wear and poor lubrication can damage components and lead to larger faults. Finding and fixing problems quickly matters. It saves time and money that would otherwise go to a manufacturer service call.

Fault 1: The tool does not cut the steel strap

Cause 1: The cutter or cutter holder is worn or faulty.
Fix: Check the cutter and cutter holder for wear or damage. Replace them if wear is heavy.

Cause 2: Air pressure is low.
Fix: Check whether working pressure is normal. Check the cutting force. Check the seal and lock operation.

Fault 2: The seal clip does not hold enough tensile load

Cause: The connecting hole or connecting pin on the clamping block is worn.
Fix: Check these parts when the groove depth is shallow. Replace them if needed.

When a cutter, clamping block, connecting pin, or other wear part reaches its limit, Hansheng Automation can machine a replacement from customer drawings. We match material, tolerance, and surface treatment to the tool and working conditions. Our drawing-based service also covers filling machinery, tobacco packaging machinery, yacht components, and RC car components, plus non-standard parts for food, printing, and medical equipment. We handle single pieces and small batches.
