The square battery automatic test and sorting machine is designed for efficient and accurate testing and sorting of prismatic cells. It integrates an industrial computer, software system, precision voltage and internal resistance measurement, inkjet marking, batch loading, robotic sorting, and automatic unloading.
1. Functional Features
The equipment combines testing, sorting, marking, and material handling in one automated system. Robotic sorting mechanisms require precise grippers, guide rails, and positioning stops; Hansheng Automation can machine these non-standard parts according to equipment layout and cell dimensions.
Based on AC internal resistance and open-circuit voltage, the machine sorts cells into up to 8 groups to improve pack consistency and cell matching quality. Sorting channels and bin gates are machined to maintain stable cell flow and accurate group separation.
A Hioki BT3562A internal resistance meter and a Hioki DM7275 voltmeter automatically collect test data. Probe contact assemblies and fixture plates can be custom machined to ensure repeatable and stable measurement.
With hopper loading and automated operation, the system tests approximately 600 cells per hour. Test data is stored in a database with full traceability, and the software generates curve and bar charts for long-term quality monitoring and process improvement.
2. Applicable Battery Specifications and Incoming Material Requirements
Supported cell sizes include 50160118, 36130200, and 30130200. Battery terminals must be clean and free of contamination to ensure test accuracy and sorting reliability. Loading fixtures, alignment guides, and cell carriers can be adapted to different cell dimensions.

4. Equipment Modules
The testing and sorting system, model HC-CTS12-S, handles open-circuit voltage and AC internal resistance measurement as well as sorting and grouping. It is the core module of the equipment. The system includes one Hioki BT3562A internal resistance meter and one Hioki DM7275 voltmeter.
