The placement speed of an SMT pick-and-place machine varies by type. Medium- and low-speed models typically place fewer than 30,000 components per hour. High-speed models operate in the range of 30,000 to 60,000 components per hour, while ultra-high-speed machines exceed 60,000 components per hour.
The basic operating procedure is as follows:
- Pre-operation inspection: Before each use, check that the air supply, power supply, and emergency stop button are functioning properly, the safety cover is closed, the nozzles are free of damage or misalignment, and the machine interior and feeders are clean.
- Return to origin: After starting the system, select "Return to machine origin" from the menu so that the machine automatically returns to its home position for the next step.
- Warm-up: Perform a warm-up operation for 10 to 15 minutes before formal production. This helps the machine reach a stable working state more quickly and improves placement accuracy and speed.
- Select production data: Choose the production program by pressing the F2 key on the keyboard. The screen will show the nozzle type installed on each head. After confirming the corresponding setup, production can begin.
For non-standard nozzles, feeder guides, or replacement parts needed during inspection or maintenance, Hansheng Automation can provide custom machining based on customer drawings.
