A high-efficiency intelligent coating machine integrates mechanical, electrical, and automated control technologies and is primarily used for organic film coating, water-soluble film coating, and sustained- or controlled-release coating of tablets, pellets, and confectionery products. These machines are widely used in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industries. Laboratory-scale models with advanced designs can handle material loads ranging from approximately 0.2 kg to 13 kg, making them particularly suitable for formulation development and coating process research.

During operation, the cores are placed inside a clean, enclosed rotating drum, where streamlined guide plates drive the material along a controlled movement path. A computer-controlled system automatically adjusts the coating process according to preset parameters and sprays the coating solution evenly onto the product surface. At the same time, heated air is introduced under controlled negative pressure and passes through the product bed from the lower section of the drum. This promotes rapid and uniform drying, allowing the coating material to form a durable and smooth film.

Key Features of High-Efficiency Coating Machines

The control system combines PLC and HMI technologies, providing flexible process control for different pharmaceutical coating applications. The system supports stable operation and can be configured to meet applicable GMP production requirements.

The streamlined guide-plate design helps reduce excessive impact and friction between the product and internal components. This minimizes chipping and breakage, improves coating yield, reduces material consumption, and helps maintain consistent product quality.

The constant-pressure variable-flow peristaltic pump eliminates the need for a conventional return line. By automatically regulating material output and spray flow, the system has a simpler configuration, reduced risk of blockage, and easier cleaning and maintenance.

The spray guns are specifically designed for coating applications and provide efficient atomization with a wide, adjustable spray pattern. The spraying system can maintain consistent performance under different load conditions, helping improve coating uniformity. In addition, an integrated spray-gun cleaning mechanism helps prevent nozzle blockage and reduces interruptions during production, shortening coating cycles and lowering coating-material consumption.

For manufacturers of pharmaceutical equipment, the performance of these systems also depends on the precision and reliability of their mechanical components. Hansheng Automation can manufacture custom precision parts for coating machines according to customer drawings and technical specifications, including shafts, bushings, support components, connectors, and other non-standard machined parts. We support prototype and small-batch production and can select suitable materials, machining processes, tolerances, and surface treatments according to the actual operating requirements of each component.
