A checkweigher runs on a production line. Daily maintenance affects weighing stability and reject action. The items below cover cleaning, belts, bearings, dust, safe operation, and records.
Daily cleaning
Before use each day, clean the parts that directly contact products, including the infeed belt, weighing belt, reject belt, air nozzle, and wind guard. Wipe the infeed belt, reject belt, air nozzle, and wind guard with a neutral cleaner or clean towel. Wipe the weighing belt gently with a dry towel or brush. Do not press hard or pull on the weighing platform, to avoid damaging the load cell.
Belt flexibility check
Before each use, check the flexibility of the three conveyor belts and check bearings for foreign matter or abnormal noise. Belts should have no scratches or wear, and bearings should turn smoothly. A scratched or worn belt affects operation.
Bearing maintenance
Replace bearings when abnormal noise occurs. Continued operation with abnormal noise can damage the load cell, motor, belts, bearing seats, and other parts. If non-standard parts such as bearing seats, belt pulleys, weighing support plates, or wind guard mounting parts are worn and need replacement to site dimensions, we can custom machine them according to customer drawings. Hansheng Automation supports single-piece and small-batch delivery.
Full dust cleaning
Based on the operating environment, clean dust from the machine thoroughly at set intervals. Use a clean towel or brush, or blow with an air gun (0.1 pa). Do not use force or blow directly on the weighing platform, to avoid damaging the load cell. Clean the lower photoelectric surface of the upper and lower sensors regularly with a towel. Keep it clean to avoid affecting normal photoelectric operation.
Safe operation rules
Follow safe operating rules during maintenance. Make sure safety guards are complete and reliable. Remove unsafe factors promptly to prevent accidents. Cut off power before repair and maintenance, and have trained maintenance personnel perform the work. Non-professionals should not disassemble the machine, to avoid equipment damage or personal injury.
Other notes
In addition to daily maintenance, inspect the checkweigher thoroughly at regular intervals, including the electrical system, mechanical system, load cells, and other key parts, to ensure normal operation. After each maintenance service, record the maintenance time, work performed, and parts replaced for later tracking and reference.
Our custom precision parts machining capability is not limited to checkweighers. In addition to parts for food packaging machinery, pharmaceutical packaging equipment, and logistics conveying equipment, Hansheng Automation can machine filling machinery parts, tobacco packaging machinery parts, yacht precision parts, and RC car precision parts according to drawings. We also machine non-standard parts for printing machinery and daily chemical packaging equipment, supporting drawing-based customization and small-batch delivery.
