A cable take-up machine winds cable onto a spool evenly and tightly. The key points are tension control, traverse settings, and machine stability. We can machine spools, traverse rods, guide wheels, and tension wheels from customer drawings, in single pieces or small batches.
1. Preparation
Check the machine. Make sure the motor and transmission parts run normally. Choose a matching spool according to cable specification, such as diameter and length. Install it on the take-up machine and lock it. Fix the cable start end to the spool start position with a clamp or tie. Hansheng Automation can machine spools, spindles, flanges, and related parts from drawings.
2. Parameter settings
Set key parameters according to cable diameter and material. For take-up speed, fine wire is usually 30 to 50 m/min. Reduce speed for thicker cable. Traverse pitch is usually 1.1 to 1.3 times the cable diameter. Adjust tension with a magnetic particle brake or frequency converter. This avoids breakage from too much tension or loose stacking from too little tension.
3. Startup and monitoring
Start the take-up machine at low speed. Watch traverse evenness and tension stability. If traverse is uneven, adjust the traverse position or guide wheel angle immediately. Listen for abnormal noise or vibration.
4. Finishing
When the preset length or full spool is reached, reduce speed gradually and stop. Cut the cable and fix the end with tape. Remove the spool and attach a label with specification parameters.
Key control points
Traverse pitch must match cable diameter to prevent overlapping. Tension control depends on a precise braking system. Thick cable, such as power cable, needs lower speed and a stronger tension mechanism.
Beyond cable take-up machines, our precision custom machining capability is not limited to one industry. Hansheng Automation can machine yacht precision components and RC car precision components from customer drawings. We also provide non-standard metal parts for tobacco packaging machinery, filling machinery, printing machinery, food machinery, and medical devices. We focus on build-to-print custom machining and produce single pieces or small batches according to customer drawings. We do not sell complete machines.
