An out-of-round copper rod from an upward-casting take-up machine usually points to die wear, unstable tension, mechanical faults, or uneven material temperature. Check and adjust in these four areas. We can machine dies, guide wheels, bearing housings, tension wheels, and other precision parts from customer drawings.

1. Die problems

Die wear or insufficient dimensional accuracy can make copper rod forming control inaccurate. Check and measure die dimensions. If wear is severe, replace with a new die that meets specifications. Maintain the die regularly to keep the surface smooth and dimensions accurate. Hansheng Automation can machine replacement dies and die sleeves from drawings.

2. Tension control problems

Unstable tension during take-up makes the copper rod bear uneven force. Make sure the tension sensor works properly. Adjust controller parameters to keep tension stable. Check transmission parts such as belts and chains. Keep tension moderate to avoid transmission fluctuation.

3. Mechanical faults

Worn, loose, or damaged guide wheels, bearings, and other mechanical parts affect the copper rod path and force. Carry out a full mechanical inspection. Tighten loose parts. Replace worn or damaged parts. Lubricate and maintain regularly to reduce wear.

4. Copper rod material and temperature problems

Uneven material or uneven temperature distribution can cause inconsistent deformation. Make sure the copper rod material meets quality requirements and inspect it. Control the heating and cooling process to keep temperature distribution even.

Beyond upward-casting take-up machines, our precision custom machining capability is not limited to one industry. Hansheng Automation can machine yacht precision components, RC car precision components, tobacco packaging machinery parts, and filling machinery parts from customer drawings. We also machine non-standard metal parts for printing machinery, food machinery, and medical devices. We focus on build-to-print custom machining and produce single pieces or small batches according to customer drawings. We do not sell complete machines.
