Troubleshooting a fully automatic paper bag machine starts with accurate diagnosis and quick adjustment. Check mechanical, electrical, and material issues based on the symptom.

Common basic faults

Paper feed problems and frequent jams: clean suction and blow air lines. Adjust paper guide position and feed roller pressure. Replace worn parts.

Poor forming, such as open bottom or uneven folding: calibrate the forming mold. Adjust the folding mechanism. Clean the electric eye and check conveyor belt tension.

Key mechanism faults

Weak heat sealing or burn-through: calibrate the temperature controller. Adjust the pressure system. Reset sealing time and check whether the material meets requirements.

Cutter faults, such as no cut or abnormal noise: sharpen or replace the blade. Adjust tool gap and pressure. Tighten mounting bolts and calibrate cutter synchronization.

Drive system problems, such as vibration or overheating: check bearing and gear lubrication. Adjust chain tension. Tighten couplings and replace damaged parts.

When worn feed rollers, cutter blades, or drive parts need replacement, we can machine custom parts from customer drawings in single pieces or small batches.

Electrical and system faults

Servo drive positioning error: disconnect the load and test mechanical resistance. Check encoder connections and electrical parameters. Remove power interference.

Low electric eye sensitivity: adjust the electric eye based on paper bag color. Use blue for monochrome and red for heavy colors. Clean the detection head and calibrate its position.

Typical running faults

Paper break: replace the paper roll and check tension control. Clean guide rollers. Increase speed gradually and watch running status.

Bag jam: clean suction holes and check air pressure. Check gripper and chain condition. Turn the machine manually to observe station action synchronization.

Poor stitching: for thread sewing machines, replace the needle and adjust hook timing. For paper sewing machines, change the glue type and clean the gluing system.

Other specific problems

Inconsistent length: check cutter balance on the flat mouth machine. Add shims on the film rubber roller for adjustment.

Asymmetric edge sealing: adjust the pressure balance mechanism on the aluminum pressure roller.

Static jam: attach insulating material at the cutter beam screws, such as a rubber band plus paper board, to remove static.

Hansheng Automation's precision custom machining supports more than paper bag machines. We also produce non-standard components for packaging equipment, food machinery, printing presses, medical devices, yacht hardware, RC car parts, tobacco packaging machinery, and filling lines. We work from customer drawings for single pieces or small batches. The focus stays on precision parts machining and delivery, which keeps maintenance and replacement flexible across different industries.
