Metal detectors mainly fall into three types: all-metal detectors, ferrous metal detectors, and aluminum foil metal detectors.
All-metal detectors
They detect iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, and other metals. Accuracy and sensitivity are high, and performance is stable and reliable. The price is higher, and the application range is narrower.
Ferrous metal detectors
They detect iron only. They are also called needle detectors, needle inspection machines, or needle pass machines. Accuracy and sensitivity are lower, and they are easily affected by interference. They are widely used.
Aluminum foil metal detectors
They are used for products with aluminum foil packaging. They detect ferrous metal only, but accuracy and sensitivity remain high. Such products are available in Europe, the US, and Japan, while the Chinese market has no mature product.
By use, there are more types:
- Handheld metal detectors
- Underground metal detectors
- Conveyor metal detectors
- Drop-through metal detectors
- Pipeline metal detectors
- Vacuum conveying metal detectors
- Pressure conveying metal detectors
- Plate metal detectors
Each type is built for a specific environment and need, so performance and functions differ. If a conveyor, drop-through, or pipeline metal detector needs a non-standard frame, guide chute, probe bracket, or reject mechanism part, we can machine single pieces or small batches from customer drawings. Hansheng Automation makes precision parts only, not complete machines.
Beyond metal detector parts, our drawing-based custom machining also covers food packaging lines, medical devices, filling equipment, tobacco packaging machinery, yacht hardware, and RC car structural parts. We machine single pieces and small batches to drawing for equipment builders and production lines.
