The core equipment is a dedicated air-energy antifreeze production line. It combines mixing, reaction, filling, and other key steps into continuous production. Total investment depends on automation level and capacity. A small to medium line usually starts in the range of several hundred thousand RMB.
Core production equipment
Mixing equipment: stainless steel mixing tanks and planetary mixers blend ethylene glycol, deionized water, and additives such as corrosion inhibitors, defoamers, and dyes. Most tanks use SUS304 stainless steel and have a jacketed temperature control function.
Reactor: the reactor drives the chemical changes that give the antifreeze its freeze protection, boil protection, and corrosion protection. High-end reactor bodies use 316L stainless steel with a PTFE anti-corrosion lining. They include magnetic stirring and a nitrogen blanket.
Filling and packaging: high-precision fillers with accuracy up to ±0.5%, capping machines, coding machines, and automatic packing machines complete the final filling and packing steps.
Hansheng Automation makes custom parts for this equipment from customer drawings. We produce mixing shafts, reactor linings, filling nozzles, valve bodies, and pipe connectors in one-off parts and small batches. Material and surface finish follow the drawing and the fluid being handled.
Key auxiliary systems
Water treatment: the core unit is a reverse osmosis (RO) system. It produces deionized water with conductivity at or below 5 μS/cm. This is the base for stable freeze point and quality.
Filtration and separation: precision filters such as bag filters remove mechanical impurities. Centrifuges separate impurities and purify the liquid.
Drying: for high-purity antifreeze, vacuum freeze dryers or vacuum dryers control the water content in the finished product. The water content is usually required to stay below 100 ppm.
Quality inspection and control equipment
Laboratory instruments: a refractometer for quick freeze point checks, a pH meter, a conductivity meter, a constant-temperature water bath, and metal test coupons for corrosion performance analysis.
High and low temperature test chambers: these simulate extreme conditions from -40°C to 120°C. They test thermal stability, freeze protection, and boil protection.
Online monitoring: inline moisture analyzers and metering devices on the line monitor key process parameters in real time.
Other necessary equipment
Conveying system: corrosion-resistant pumps and pipes, such as stainless steel or PPR.
Power and control system: a power supply system that gives stable power to the whole line, plus a PLC or DCS control system for automatic control.
