Pre-sealing machines and can seaming machines differ in concept and sealing method.

1. Concept Difference
A pre-sealing machine is commonly used in food processing, preservation, and storage. It is mainly applied to flexible packaging or bagged products. A can seaming machine, by contrast, is a machine used to seal metal cans or bottles with rigid closures.

2. Sealing Method Difference
A pre-sealing machine extends the shelf life of food by removing oxygen and other gases from inside the packaging bag, thereby preventing spoilage, decay, and oxidation. It often works through vacuum extraction or gas flushing before the final seal is applied. A can seaming machine seals cans or bottles through mechanical pressure and curling, using seaming rollers to interlock the lid and can body. Heat may also be involved depending on the product and packaging type.

3. Application and Component Considerations
Pre-sealing machines are frequently used for products such as dried foods, fresh produce, and modified-atmosphere packaged goods. Can seaming machines are more common in canned food, beverage, and pharmaceutical packaging lines. The seaming rollers, pressure heads, and positioning fixtures in can seaming machines operate under continuous mechanical stress and require high dimensional accuracy and wear resistance. Hansheng Automation provides custom machining of these components based on customer drawings or samples, helping maintain stable sealing quality in long-term production.
