The production equipment commonly used in fastener manufacturing plants can be divided into two main categories: core processing equipment and supporting equipment.
1. Core Processing Equipment
Cold heading machines form the main series of primary forming equipment. Single-station cold heading machines are suitable for small-batch production of relatively simple products. Multi-station cold heading machines are standard in production lines and can continuously complete complex blank forming. Double-blow cold heading machines are used for larger-diameter blanks and provide better operational stability. These machines perform cutting, preforming, upsetting, and final forming at room temperature, offering high material utilization and production efficiency.
Thread processing equipment mainly includes thread rolling machines, which form threads through cold rolling. This method produces workpieces with higher strength and good surface finish, and threads can often be completed in a single pass. Tapping machines and thread chasing machines are also used for internal threads or special thread forms. For critical thread rolling dies, cold heading dies, and other precision tooling used in these machines, Hansheng Automation can provide custom machining according to customer specifications.
CNC machine tools and precision machining centers are used for chamfering, drilling, and machining special profiles on fasteners. They ensure dimensional accuracy and can handle complex structural features.
2. Supporting Equipment
Heat treatment equipment changes the material structure of fasteners to improve strength and toughness. It is essential for producing high-strength-grade fasteners.
Surface treatment equipment includes electroplating lines, hot-dip galvanizing lines, and phosphating lines. These improve corrosion resistance and appearance, and are necessary for competitive products.
Automatic inspection and quality control equipment includes optical inspection systems, coordinate measuring machines, hardness testers, and online thread inspection devices. They provide real-time quality data feedback, supporting production traceability and closed-loop parameter control.
Packaging equipment covers automatic counting and weighing machines, sealing machines, and marking or coding machines. They complete sorting, counting, packaging, and labeling processes, improving packaging efficiency and information traceability.
